Delicious Summer Food For Parties

A couple of years back there was a ton of food that people would avoid and about a million different dishes that they'd stay away from because they were fattening but with the different ways of cooking food and about a dozen or so sauces and dressings that you can make or buy, you can now eat cold slaw and potato salad with a guilt free conscience.
A lot of people like to BBQ in summer and anyone who's watching their weight is bound to stay away from it because the fat on the meat isn't healthy and that may work for an ordinary day but not for parties where people will have to be served substantial food. You can work around this by steaming the food or boiling it and then using low fat dressings to add flavor.
Sea food is also great for parties. Most seafood is extremely healthy and it cooks really fast. If you can find recipes that can be cooked in the microwave and you can prepare more fast in case more guests than you'd planned for show up.
Make sure you have a great dessert; ice cream is usually what people prefer in summer but it isn't something that will work if you're planning a healthy menu. Low fat ice cream may be an option but the taste is always a disappointment. Fruits can always work as a great dessert and since you have to serve it at a party, it's best to serve dark chocolate strawberries or white chocolate covered strawberries. They're delicious and a great alternative to cream and strawberries.
